Apple TV+ kicked off London’s biggest weekend with its first annual BAFTA brunch celebrating excellence in global entertainment and storytelling, including Apple Original Films' BAFTA Award winner for Best British Short Animation, “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse,” which also recently received an Academy Award nomination. The Apple TV+ BAFTA brunch took place at the Mount St. Restaurant in Mayfair, London, ahead of the EE BAFTA Film Awards held on Sunday, February 19. The star-studded event drew in renowned names across arts and culture, with attendees including BAFTA chair Krishnendu Majumdar; “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse” director Charlie Mackesy, producers Hannah Minghella and Matthew Freud, and composer Isobel Waller-Bridge; “Ted Lasso” stars James Lance, Jeremy Swift, Toheeb Jimoh, Phil Dunster, Sarah Niles, Kola Bokinni, Billy Harris, Stephen Manas, David Elsendoorn, Charlie Hiscock and Annette Badland; “Surface” star and executive producer Gugu Mbatha-Raw and creator Veronica West; “Tetris” director Jon S. Baird; “Slow Horses” stars Chris Chung and Rosalind Eleazar; as well as Nell Tiger Free (“Servant”), Sarah Greene (“Bad Sisters”), Esther Smith (“Trying”), Paul Rhys (“Napoleon”), Academy Award winner Troy Kotsur (“CODA”) and David Shields (“Masters of the Air”).
