TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Family Sharing Beta Terms and Conditions For Purchases and Downloads

Family Sharing permits you to share eligible iTunes, App Store, Mac App Store, iBooks Store, and iCloud products with a maximum of five other members of your single family (e.g., adults and children) by allowing family members to view and download each others’ eligible products to their Associated Devices. Family Sharing is for personal, non-commercial use, and is not available for commercial or educational institutions. The "organizer" of a Family must be an adult with an eligible payment method on file with iTunes and must be a parent or legal guardian of any minor added to the Family. The organizer can invite other members, and the organizer’s payment method will be used to pay for any purchases initiated by Family members in excess of any iTunes Store credit in the initiating member’s account. Family members are acting as agents for the organizer when the organizer's payment method is used. The content purchased by Family members will be associated with the Apple ID of the Family member who initiates the transaction. By adding Family members to Family Sharing, the organizer agrees that all charges for any such purchases are authorized, and agrees to be responsible for all such charges, even if the organizer was unaware of the transaction or if a Family member exceeds his or her authority. The organizer is responsible for compliance with any agreement with its payment provider, and assumes all risk in the event that sharing access to such payment method limits any protection against unauthorized charges. The organizer can change the payment information on file at any time. Please use Report a Problem on your receipt if you and your Family members do not recognize charges on your receipt or payment method statement. The organizer may remove any Family member, which will terminate that Family member’s ability to initiate authorized purchases on the organizer’s payment method, and their ability to view and share other Family members’ content. The organizer can use the Ask to Buy function to require minors to obtain permission, from the organizer and/or other adults designated by the organizer, to download free or paid content before a download commences. The organizer and/or any adult designee each must be a parent or legal guardian of such minors. You can also enable Restrictions on specific devices and computers to prevent access to specific features or content. The organizer cannot limit or approve the transactions of other adults in the Family. You can only belong to one Family at a time, and may join any Family no more than twice per year; you can change the iTunes account you associate with a Family no more than once every 90 days. When a Family member leaves a Family, the remaining Family members will no longer be able to view or download the departing member’s content, including purchases made on the organizer’s payment method while the departing member was part of the Family; the departing member will no longer be able to view or download the remaining Family members’ content. Not all products, including In-App Purchases, content that is not available for redownload, subscriptions, and some previously purchased apps, are eligible for Family Sharing.
