Apple Sells Three Million iPads in Three Days
Wi-Fi Only Models of New iPad mini & Fourth-Generation iPad Double Previous First Weekend Sales
CUPERTINO, California — 6 November, 2012 — Apple® today announced it has sold 3 million iPad® devices in just three days since launching its iPad mini and fourth-generation iPad with Retina display — doubling the previous first-weekend sales milestone of 1.5 million third-generation iPad with Wi-Fi models in March this year. The Wi-Fi + Cellular versions of both iPad mini and iPad with Retina display will ship in a few weeks in the US, and in Singapore and many more countries later this year.

Both iPad mini and iPad with Retina display are available in 34 countries including Singapore, the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and the UK, and will be available in many more countries later this year, including mainland China. Demand for iPad mini exceeded the initial supply and while many pre-orders have been shipped to customers, some are scheduled to ship later this month.

iPad mini with Wi-Fi comes in either white and silver or black and slate, and is available for a suggested retail price of S$448 for the 16GB model, S$578 for the 32GB model and S$708 for the 64GB model. The Wi-Fi–only iPad with Retina display is available in black or white for a suggested retail price of S$658 for the 16GB model, S$788 for the 32GB model and S$918 for the 64GB model. Both iPad mini and iPad with Retina display are available from the Apple Online Store (www.apple.com/sg) and selected Apple Authorised Resellers.

Fourth-generation iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular will be offered for a suggested retail price of S$828 for the 16GB model, S$958 for the 32GB model and S$1,088 for the 64GB model. Additionally, iPad 2 is available for a suggested retail price of S$528 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model and just S$698 for the 16GB Wi-Fi + 3G model, in stores that already sell these models.
