What information is needed to apply for a loan with the iPhone Upgrade Program?
If you’re joining the iPhone Upgrade Program for the first time, you’ll be asked to provide your date of birth, Social Security number, and annual income for a credit check. You’ll also need a valid U.S. credit or debit card. Prepaid cards are not accepted at this time. Click here for full terms and conditions.
If you’re a current member of the iPhone Upgrade Program and enter the Social Security number you used when you first joined the program, your application will be conveniently autofilled with the information that’s already on file with Citizens One. Citizens One reserves the right to perform a credit inquiry as needed to determine loan eligibility. Depending on your account performance and transactional history in the iPhone Upgrade Program, Citizens One may approve your new loan application without your credit being impacted.
What happens to my new loan if I choose to pick up my new iPhone at an Apple Store but then fail to pick it up?
If you do not pick up your iPhone within 14 days after the scheduled pickup date, it will be returned to store inventory. Your new loan will be canceled, and any charges applied to your credit or debit card will be refunded. The monthly payments associated with your current iPhone will continue. Any credit inquiry used to determine loan eligibility during preapproval will remain.
If I choose to upgrade to iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro, what happens to my iPhone Upgrade Program eligibility next year?
You will still be eligible to upgrade next year. However, your new upgrade eligibility date will be determined by the start date of your new iPhone Upgrade Program loan. Please note that you are eligible to upgrade after six months in the program, as long as you have made the equivalent of at least 12 payments.
I just bought a new iPhone. Can I exchange it for the new iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro?
If you purchased your iPhone within the last 14 days, you can return it by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE or by visiting an Apple Store. When pre-order begins, you’ll be able to purchase the new iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro.
When I upgrade to a new iPhone with the iPhone Upgrade Program, what happens to my existing AppleCare+ coverage?

What if I want to leave the iPhone Upgrade Program?
If you want to upgrade but do not want to stay in the iPhone Upgrade Program, you should not complete the preapproval process.
If I paid off my previous loan, am I still part of the iPhone Upgrade Program?

Your monthly payments cover the full cost of iPhone, as well as AppleCare+ coverage.
Why do I need to make a payment to be eligible for an upgrade?
In order to upgrade, you need to make or have made the equivalent of at least 12 payments. You can pay any remaining balance needed to meet your 12 payments at the time of upgrade.
Do I still need to make payments for my current iPhone while I wait for my new iPhone to ship?
Yes. Once it ships, we’ll pause the payments on your current loan, and the payments for your new iPhone will begin. After we receive your old device and determine that it’s in good working condition, we’ll close out the associated loan.
I agreed to make a payment to upgrade my iPhone early. Why am I still being billed monthly?
You’ll continue to be charged monthly for your existing loan until your new iPhone has shipped or you pick it up in a store. At that time, your new loan will begin, and the early upgrade payment you made for your original loan will be reassessed. Any amount you paid in excess will be refunded to you.
Can someone else upgrade my iPhone?
Yes. The person who upgrades your iPhone will be responsible for starting a new iPhone Upgrade Program loan agreement.
Can I trade in my current iPhone with Apple Trade In?

My current iPhone is damaged. Can I still upgrade to a new iPhone?
