John Lennon Solo Catalogue Debuts on iTunes Store

AUCKLAND, New Zealand—15 August 2007—Apple today announced the debut of the JohnLennon solo catalogue on the iTunes Store (www.itunes.com/nz). Sixteen of Lennon's solo works from EMIMusic are available for the first time on iTunes starting today, with the “LennonLegend” and “Acoustic” collections making their worldwide digital debuts.For a limited period of 30 days, exclusive video content will be included with the albums“John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band,” “Sometime in New York City,”“Walls and Bridges,” “Milk and Honey” and the collections“Anthology” and “Working Class Hero.”
“John would have loved the fact that his music will now be available in a format suitedto a new generation of listeners,” said Yoko Ono.

As part of EMI Music’s digital catalogue, the John Lennon solo works will be available iniTunes Plus, offering DRM-free music tracks with high quality 256 kbps AAC encoding for audioquality virtually indistinguishable from the original recordings—for a recommendedretail price (RRP) NZ$2.49 inc GST per song.
The iTunes Store features the world’s largest catalogue with over three million songs,4,000 music videos, 100,000 podcasts and 20,000 audiobooks. The iTunes Store has sold overthree billion songs, making it theworld’s most popular online music store.
