Both Apple Pencil (USB-C) and Apple Pencil (1st generation) are compatible with this iPad.
Apple Pencil (USB-C) pairs via USB-C Charge Cable and attaches magnetically for storage.
To use Apple Pencil (1st generation) with this iPad, a USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter is required for pairing and charging. It is included with your purchase of Apple Pencil (1st generation). If you already own an Apple Pencil (1st generation), you’ll need to purchase the USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter. This adapter is sold separately at apple.com/nz and on the Apple Store app.

iPad includes eSIM technology that enables fast, convenient and secure activation of mobile data plans. There are a few ways to activate eSIM on your iPad including transferring from another iPad, joining an existing iPhone mobile data plan, adding a new plan in Settings, scanning a QR code or using an app from a carrier.* With eSIM you can choose mobile data plans from selected carriers in more than 180 countries and regions around the world. iPad and iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular models include a nano-SIM tray that supports a carrier SIM card.

AppleCare+ for iPad provides expert technical support and additional hardware coverage for iPad, Apple Pencil and Apple-branded iPad keyboard from Apple, including unlimited incidents of accidental damage protection. Each incident is subject to a service fee of NZ$49 for screen repair, NZ$169 for other accidental damage to 11-inch iPad Pro (M4), 13-inch iPad Pro (M4), 11-inch iPad Air (M2), 13-inch iPad Air (M2); NZ$75 for accidental damage to all other iPad models, and NZ$49 for Apple Pencil or Apple-branded iPad keyboard. In addition, you’ll get 24/7 priority access to Apple experts by chat or phone through getsupport.apple.com. Coverage begins on your AppleCare+ purchase date.
