Apple Announces DVI to ADC Adaptor

Connects Apple’s Award-Winning Flat-Panel Displays with New PowerBook G4

CUPERTINO, California - April 29th, 2002
Apple today announced the Apple DVI to ADC Adaptor which enables customers to use Apple’s award-winning line-up of all-digital, flat-panel displays, including the stunning new 23-inch Cinema HD Display, with the new PowerBook G4 via its integrated Digital Visual Interface (DVI) port. The Apple DVI to ADC Adaptor also provides the ability to add a second Apple flat-panel display to selected Power Mac G4 configurations, including models with the new NVIDIA GeForce 4 Titanium graphics processor.

The DVI to ADC Adaptor is a compact device that measures 5-inches square andfeatures active components to boost the DVI signal to ensure its integrityfor maximum image quality even when running large, high-resolution flat-panels, such as the 23-inch Apple Cinema HD Display. The adaptor includes anintegrated power supply, an AC power cord and a 2-metre cable with USB andDVI. The Apple flat-panel display is attached directly to the ADC (AppleDisplay Connector) port located on the adaptor.

The new Apple DVI to ADC Adaptor is available immediately through the AppleStore and Apple Authorised Resellers for asuggested selling price of £129 inc VAT (£110 ex VAT). Apple’s current all-digital display line-up includes the 15-and 17-inch Studio Displays, the 22-inch Cinema Display and the new 23-inch Cinema HD Display; with suggested selling prices (ex VAT) of £449, £699, £1,799 and £2,599, respectively.
