(3) Accidental Damage means physical damage, breakage or failure due to unforeseen and unintentional handling or due to external events. AppleCare+ will not provide accidental damage protection for accessories not included in the original packaging or third-party accessories used with the Covered Equipment, including, but not limited to, prescribed or other corrective lenses. Each incident is subject to a service fee of $39 for Damage to Included Accessories and $399 for Other Accidental Damage. Replacement equipment that Apple provides as part of the repair or replacement service may contain new or previously used genuine Apple parts that have been tested and pass Apple functional requirements. (4) Availability and capability of each option depends on the country in which service is requested, subject to local law. If available, Express Replacement Service for Hardware Coverage for Accidental Damage to the Covered Equipment (excluding Included Accessories) is subject to the Other Accidental Damage service fee. ERS for Hardware Coverage for Accidental Damage may be available for the battery and/or battery cable, subject to the Damage to Included Accessories service fee. If your device is replaced with Express Replacement Service, the original product becomes Apple’s property. The replacement product is your property and, if you have an AppleCare+ plan, becomes the Covered Equipment. You are responsible for backing up all software programs, data and passwords residing on your original device.

(5) May require verification of your device, inspection and a diagnostic.

AppleCare+ benefits are separate from and in addition to the Apple Limited Warranty and any legal rights provided by consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
