Apple’s iSync 1.1 Broadens Support for Mobile Phones; Adds Safari Bookmark Syncing

MARKHAM, Ontario—June 3, 2003—Apple® today announced the release of iSync1.1, Apple’s breakthrough synchronization software that lets usersautomatically sync their contacts and calendars on their Mac® with those ontheir cell phones, Palm OS devices and iPods. iSync 1.1 adds support forover 20 mobile phones from Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Siemens, aswell as Mac-to-Mac synchronization of Safari™ bookmarks for .Macsubscribers. iSync 1.1 supports more Bluetooth-enabled phones than any othersyncing software and has added syncing via USB for several Motorola phones.

In addition to Safari bookmark syncing, .Mac members can now access andorganize their favorite websites from any Mac and with the ability to syncMac® OS X Address Book contacts, Mac.com email, iCal™ calendar events and ToDo lists, .Mac members always have their most important information at theirfingertips. iSync 1.1 is available immediately as a free download andrequires Mac OS X version 10.2.5 and iCal 1.0.2.
