  • We use information about the sporting interests you follow to personalise your experience within Apple apps including Apple Sports, Apple TV and Apple News, and to send you notifications.
  • You can choose to stop syncing your sporting interests across Apple apps at any time. Turning off My Sports syncing may limit your ability to use sports features in supported apps.

My Sports allows you to have one sporting experience across your Apple apps and devices. The teams and other sporting interests you follow will sync across supported Apple apps and devices that are signed in to the same Apple Account.

Providing and Improving My Sports

If you turn on syncing for My Sports, the teams and other sporting interests you follow in supported apps, including Apple Sports, Apple TV and Apple News, will automatically be followed in other supported apps. Apple collects information about your usage of My Sports, including, where available, the sports, leagues, teams and athletes that you follow and the notifications you interact with, and stores that information associated with your Apple Account. Apple uses this information to sync your sporting interests across supported Apple apps, including Apple Sports, Apple TV and Apple News, and to personalise your experience in those apps and associated services like Apple News email newsletters. Apple also uses this information, along with information about errors and crashes, to improve My Sports and the supported Apple apps and services.

My Sports syncing allows you to have one sporting experience across supported Apple apps, with content about your sporting interests like articles and events appearing in supported Apple apps and associated services, including Apple Sports, Apple TV and Apple News. You can choose to stop using My Sports to sync your sporting interests at any time in the settings of supported apps. Turning off syncing for My Sports may limit the sports features available in some apps.

Apple may also use information about the sports, leagues, teams and athletes you follow to send you emails and push notifications from apps that support My Sports, including Apple TV and Apple News, about new features, content and offers available in those apps. You can change your email preferences and opt out of receiving these emails by going to account.apple.com. To update your notification preferences or apps that support My Sports on your iOS, iPadOS or visionOS device, go to Settings > Notifications > TV for Apple TV notifications, and Settings > Notifications > News for Apple News notifications. Advertising

If the Personalised Ads setting is turned on, Apple’s advertising platform may use your information to serve ads that are more relevant to you. Apple’s advertising platform may use information about your sporting interests to ensure that ads in Apple News and Stocks are relevant.

If you do not want to receive ads targeted to your interests from Apple’s advertising platform, you can choose to turn off Personalised Ads. Turning off Personalised Ads will prevent Apple from using your information for ad targeting. It may not decrease the number of ads you receive, but the ads may be less relevant to you.

You can turn off Personalised Ads on your iOS, iPadOS or visionOS device by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising and tapping to turn off Personalised Ads. On Mac, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising and unselect Personalised Ads.
