Improve Health Records & Privacy

Improve Health Records automatically sends certain information from your iPhone and iPad about your use of and engagement with Health Records and related features to Apple in order to help Apple develop, improve and understand Health Records and related features. Your data will not be used for any other purpose.

The information collected as part of Improve Health Records includes certain information in your health records (such as your conditions, medications, vital signs, immunisations, lab results, procedures, and other health records data imported and stored under the Health Records section in the Health app such as verifiable health records data), and information about your enablement of and engagement with the Health Records feature (such as analytics data related to the transfer of your health records, which may include the source of such data). Before your information is sent to Apple for analysis, it is processed to remove data that may personally identify you, such as your name or phone number. While the process is intended to remove all information that may personally identify you, it is possible that Apple may receive identifiable data. If any personally identifiable data is found, it will be promptly deleted.

All information sent to Apple is encrypted while in transit and at rest.

By enabling Improve Health Records, you agree and consent to Apple’s and its subsidiaries’ and agents’ transmission, collection, maintenance, processing and use of this information as described above. Apple may store this information with trusted third-party service providers. You may choose to stop sharing your health records at any time. To do so, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements and tap to turn off Improve Health Records.

At all times, information collected by Apple will be treated in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at apple.com/au/privacy.
